Team Building Print E-mail

The Brief:

To hold an event where HQ trading divisions could interact with the key suppliers through a series of teambuilding, competitive events with an informal dinner/dance after. Possible 280 guests in total – the event should be structured to allow meaningful interaction and co-operation between disparate groups.

EIP Solution:

We used Edinburgh as the central location. The HQ contingent was 60 strong and was to be joined in the afternoon by 200 suppliers.
Staying overnight at the Caledonian hotel, the HQ contingent was then transferred to Mavis Hall Park in Humbie for their morning team building sessions.
During the late morning the supplier’s teams began to arrive and joined together in the marquee for lunch prior to the afternoon joint sessions.
A complete H&S briefing was given before the newly integrated teams were sent out into the field to compete for the grand prize.
The games were a mix of physical and cerebral in order to allow a high percentage of participation.
Following the games a drinks reception followed by spit-roast dinner was held in the Mavis Hall Park barns together with a ceilidh before the group was returned to central Edinburgh for overnight.
This event provided the catalyst for many more smaller HQ/supplier events which together enhanced the relationships between the two.

Company weekend Print E-mail

The Brief:

Following an extremely successful year this Europe wide manufacturer wanted to reward the entire European workforce of 300 plus partners for their part in the achievement. It was considered essential that the partners are made to feel the centre of attention as they are often disregarded by companies in the drive for expansion and profits.
A single city venue, accommodation for two nights in a 4 star hotel; conference facilities and dinner at an unusual venue.

EIP Solution:

Paris EIP chose to hold the event in Paris; the romantic capital of the world.
Attendees were flown into Paris from various European cities and driven to the Hilton Paris hotel.
Two conference sessions were set up, one to address the employees and thank them for their efforts and the other to thank the partners for their support – a special gift was given to them also.
The afternoon was free for relaxation and dinner was set to be held at the Musee des Arts Forains, which houses a collection of Victorian merry-go-rounds and other assorted funfair artefacts. The meal was set up around the attractions, which were available for use after dinner – an extremely unusual venue.
On the Sunday participants were transported back to the airport and returned home.
The event proved extremely popular with the employees and was a novel way of thanking everyone for their efforts and contributions.
